Tarini’s Kalapura was created from a simple belief: celebrations feel more meaningful when families have the privacy, space and freedom to make them their own. Rather than operating like a conventional event venue, Kalapura opens the entire property to one gathering at a time.
Why Kalapura was created
We wanted a place where a family could take over an entire setting — walk between rituals without meeting strangers, eat together, rest, gather and celebrate at their own pace.
Privacy at the centre
One booking at a time is not a policy for us — it is the whole point. The lawns, the courtyard, the veranda and the pond all belong, for that day, to one celebration.
Kerala-inspired character
The house is contemporary, built with respect for Kerala’s architectural traditions — lime plaster, sloping tiled roofs, dark timber pillars and open verandas that invite the outdoors in.
Heritage artefacts, carefully placed
Brass lamps, carved wooden panels, bell-metal urlis and small collected objects give the house its warmth. These are the heritage details of the home — the property itself is a new creation, not a historic estate.
Personal hospitality
Guests are received personally by the Tarini team. Every family is looked after by people who have been part of planning the celebration from the first conversation.
